Consecutive interpreting

The interpreter translates the speaker’s discourse to the language of arrival, making use of the speaker’s pauses. Interpreters usually assist themselves through taking notes.

Simultaneous Interpreting

Simultaneous interpreting allows the listener to receive the translation of the original discourse in real time. The process requires specific technical equipment: cabins, headphones, microphones...

Chuchotage

This technique is mainly used in meetings and conferences. The interpreter sits next to one or two people and whispers the translation of presentations.

Ad-hoc interpreting

This type of interpreting is suitable for small reunions and meetings.
